Laurin Ariail is Senior Counsel at GEM. In this role, she advises and supports the GEM team in legal aspects of day-to-day operations, including reviewing and negotiating private fund investments, facilitating client onboarding, and monitoring regulatory compliance. Prior to joining GEM, Laurin spent 10 years in private legal practice advising institutional investors and asset managers in private fund investing and fundraising. Laurin received a B.A. in Political Science from Davidson College, an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School, and a J.D. (cum laude) from the University of North Carolina School of Law. She is a member of both the North Carolina and Massachusetts State Bar Associations.
