Rich Abraham is the Chief Compliance Officer at GEM. In this role, Rich implements and oversees GEM’s compliance program in service of the firm’s clients and is responsible for maintaining an effective culture of compliance within the firm. Additionally, Rich is responsible for establishing and overseeing internal controls and financial reporting standards to help safeguard investor assets. Rich has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, most of which has been spent on accounting and compliance for alternative investments. Prior to joining GEM in 2008, Rich worked as the Finance Manager and Business Finance Officer of Global Credit Products at Bank of America. Prior to that, he was the Controller at Mangan & McColl Partners and before was the Director of Finance and Taxation at Blue Ridge Capital. He began his career as an auditor at RSM in New York City. He received a B.S. in Accounting (cum laude) from the State University of New York at Albany and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
